The project

Architecture with character, a terrace overlooking the Pacific.
All that was missing was an interior to match.

Almejas 6 had everything a penthouse in Conchas Chinas can have: wooden ceiling beams, arches, exposed stone and a direct view of the ocean. What it didn't have was an interior design that lived up to all of that.

The proposal starts from what was already there. The wooden beams became the common thread of the entire palette: warm neutrals, linen, rattan, natural wood. The principle was clear from the start: nothing competes with the ocean view — everything frames it.

The most radical change is the kitchen. From talavera tile and dark wood furniture, we moved to a rounded island with an artisanal sand-toned tile front, a dark green countertop and a natural stone wall with recessed lighting. It's the same space. What changed is the intention behind every decision.

The living room was redesigned to face the ocean: a neutral linen sofa, a hanging chair on the terrace, unobstructed floor-to-ceiling windows. The dining room connects visually with the kitchen and the outdoors in a single open-space reading.

The sunset renders say it better than any description.

The starting point

The existing space

Exposed beams, arches, bare stone and a terrace overlooking the Pacific. The original architecture had all the character. The challenge: updating the finishes without losing the personality of the place.

Almejas 6 current kitchen — white island with talavera tile and stone wall with range hood
Almejas 6 current living and dining room — dark wood furniture and glass table facing the terrace
Almejas 6 current living room — dark furniture and windows overlooking Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta
Almejas 6 current dining room — glass table with wooden chairs and arched kitchen entrance
The proposal

Living facing the ocean

Every design decision starts from the same principle: nothing should compete with the view — everything should frame it.
